Data Analytics
The Research Data Analytics (RDA) team serves as the central funnel for all data requests for the research enterprise and provides advanced analysis and analytical insights to leadership and other stakeholders. It additionally serves as a liaison with business managers, department administrators, and faculty to coordinate system changes and improvements that impact the collection, storage, transformation, and analysis of research enterprise data. The Data Analytics Team review of trends and outcomes directly impacts process improvement initiatives led by the ORA Dragon Team. In collaboration with ORAIT, it furthermore focuses on accuracy and data management and integrity for all ORA business applications.
The reports below provide official data on Emory's research awards and proposals. Please note that beginning FY14, the data is pulled from EBI. Reports
This dashboard was developed as a reporting process for faculty facing metrics. The goal is to supply meaningful metrics to faculty to measure performance of ORA's departments and units. This data-informed dashboard will seek to improve ORA's transparency and identify areas for improvement. The metrics are produced in several phases to incorporate feedback and develop additional metrics. The Phase I dashboard was rolled out in September 2020 and the team is currently working on the Phase IV dashboard.

Historical Research Reports

The NIH and NSF are the two largest federal agencies providing research funding to colleges and universities. Both agencies provide a wealth of information either from their own data sources or from surveys of colleges and universities.
The Office of Sponsored Programs and the Research Grants and Contract Office will be providing the following metrics on a monthly basis to provide the Emory research community with information and transparency regarding various tasks handled by both offices.
The Key Research Stats Report provides a year–over-year (YoY) comparison of research areas by amount and volume, allowing stakeholders to track changes in funding levels, research activity, and overall performance over time.
