Implementation of space survey should occur in the spring of the base year or summer months immediately following/concurrent with the end of your base year

Once the space survey is finished, start working on collecting financial and asset data

Upload data to cost rate model

Update cost pool structure, as well as mapping

Resolve all step down errors

Prepare schedule, narratives and certification

Submit F&A cost proposal to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services

Wait 6-24 months

Respond to audit/data requests and negotiate new F&A rates
